I've been fortunate to be able to see some young musicians actually grow from playing here in Ft. Collins Co. to either making it on to the (semi) national scene or at least doing what they love. The answer to getting discovered is quite simple....live through your art. You have to work hard and dedicate yourself to music in every waking hour. If you are a singer get out and sing..open mics , kareoke...whatever....GET OUT AND DO IT!!! There are six or seven musicians on my home page that I have seen starting out at open-mics. Open-mics are a great way to grow as an entertainer.They also are a great way to make contacts in the local music scene, and network with other musicians. If you sing but don't play an instument....find a guitar player to accompany you. Whatever it takes you have to make it the most important thing in your life and dedicate yourself to it. If you want to be famous more than you want to be a singer you are probably not going to have much luck.

lol i am coming to the rescue for my cute and fav singer Tey. Here are some points to consider and think about if you want to be in the music industry.. 1) EFFORT, what you put into it you will get out of it. 2) UPLOAD LIKE CRAZY! find websites on google to upload your videos of your songs and use youtube facebook twitter to have your links so that ppl can watch them. 3) Prepare Yourself, Mentally and physically. beware of negitive and nasty reviews and pass over them without reading them all unless it is constructive critisism other wise dont finish reading it whole just delete it and move forward. Have a healty diet so you are always phisically well to feel happy and positive and full of enthusiasm. 4) DO NOT TAKE DRUGS!! 5) DO NOT BE CONNED INTO DOING SOMETHING, WITH THE PROMISE OF MAKING IT BIG IF YOU DID WHAT WAS ASKED. (ex: sexual favours) 6) join many other singers youtube fb and twitter accounts to get your face seen. 7) on your profile keept it simple just post in a nice order your youtube links >keep it simple< 8) LASTLY.. Remember this saying.. a good product sells itself!! If your voice is so good, then people will be chasing YOU, if they dont and you are not getting the attention you want, join an IDOL compitition and find out if you really do have it or NOT.
